The working principle and method of induction annealing machine

The working principle and method of induction annealing machine

Annealing is a process of heating the workpiece to a certain temperature, then holding it for a period of time, and slowly cooling it. Simply put, it is a heat treatment process for materials. The purpose of induction heating equipment is to soften the material or workpiece after welding, forging, casting or cutting, improve toughness and plasticity, homogenize chemical composition, eliminate residual stress, or obtain desired physical properties.

1. Graphitization annealing

Induction heating equipment is used to turn cast iron containing a lot of cementite into malleable cast iron with good plasticity.

Second, spheroidizing annealing

It is used to reduce the high hardness of bearing steel and tool steel after forging.

3. Recrystallization annealing

It is used to eliminate the hardening phenomenon of metal wires and sheets in the process of cold rolling and cold drawing. Eliminate the effect of work hardening to soften the metal.

4. Diffusion Annealing

Improve the performance of induction heating equipment to homogenize the chemical composition of alloy castings.

5. Isothermal annealing

It is used to reduce the high hardness of some alloy structural steels with relatively high chromium and nickel content for cutting.

6. Complete annealing

Coarse superheated structure with poor mechanical properties after welding, forging and casting with low carbon steel.

Seven, stress relief annealing

It is used to relieve the internal stress of welded parts and their steel castings.

Induction heat treatment annealing is an annealing that utilizes the heat generated by the passage of an induced current through the workpiece. This process has the characteristics of fast heating speed and short annealing process cycle. It is often used for rapid spheroidizing annealing of non-alloy steel, alloy tool steel, bearing steel, etc. with small cross-section.

The heating temperature of induction heating rapid spheroidizing annealing is less than Acm, which is close to the lower limit of quenching temperature and is kept for a short time, and there are a lot of undissolved carbides in the austenite; the heating rate is determined by the unit power; the isothermal temperature is determined by the hardness requirements; the holding time is based on Determined from the isothermal transition diagrams measured after induction heating.

Modern induction annealing uses induction heating annealing production lines to anneal materials such as bearing steel, spring steel, strip steel, cold-rolled ribbed steel bars and aluminum tubes.

Induction heating annealing is widely used in steel pipe weld annealing, recrystallization annealing of workpieces after cold heading and cold drawing, and some workpieces that require local annealing after carburizing, such as motorcycle connecting rods, threaded parts on spline shafts, etc. The annealing of the steel pipe weld can refine the coarse and uneven grains of the weld; the annealing of cold heading and cold drawn workpieces can restore the elongated grains to small and uniform grains; local annealing of carburized parts (such as thread part), etc., mainly to reduce the hardness of the part and improve its toughness.
